Your Responsibilities
As an OFP Assembly Quality Engineer you will provide support main assembly for.
You Will Investigate Product And Process Quality Related Issues And Recommend Changes To Control Plans And/or Prints For Production And Prototype Builds. In Addition, You Will
- Gather and analyze data pertinent to quality tools in the Enterprise Order Fulfillment Process (EOFP), Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP) and/or Customer Support Process (CSP) to provide quality improvement guidance to the department operating team.
- Use quality tools consistent with quality processes to enable the focus on prevention by identifying and performing activities to minimize process risk (examples would be PFMEA and DPAR).
- Input, maintain and analyze information in factory databases and systems including Tableau, Infinity QS, Tools Net, Business Objects, AMES, and SAP.
- Assist in reviews and investigations of warranty claim information and processing of NCCAs for the department operations team to ensure permanent corrective actions are implemented.
- Develop and maintain product check lists in AMES VPI for all engine models.
- Facilitate S450 Engine Stop Ship meetings and direct corrective actions and containment for S450 engine product issues internal to the factory. Disposition and block engines and materials within SAP and AMES due to production or material issues.
- Perform quality audits, including supporting International Standards Organization (ISO) audits, verifying work instructions, IPVs, tooling, preventative maintenance, safety, and ergonomics, per a defined schedule.
- 2 years experience with data analysis techniques (including but not limited to: Pareto charts, histograms, pie and bar charts and control plans.)
- 2 years’ experience with standard quality tools such as FMEA (Failure Modes Effect Analysis), SPC(Statistical Process Control), Root Cause Analysis, and Statistics.
- 2 years’ experience with drawing interpretation, product models, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability and willingness to work off-shift assignments to support production.
- 2 years engineering experience (either through project work, relevant internships or work experience).
- Proficiency with SAP.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Excel and PowerPoint.
Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include:
- 3 years’ experience in one or more related engineering areas: Quality, Manufacturing, Design, or Industrial.
- 3 years’ experience using statistics or Six Sigma (DMAIC) problem solving methodologies.
- Experience using Tableau, Infinity QS, Tools Net, Business Objects, and AMES.
- Experience with diesel engine assembly and design.
- Experience in roles that required demonstration of presentation and facilitation Skills.
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following:
- Bachelors of Arts/Science in a Mechanical Engineering or Technology related discipline or equivalent relevant work experience.
