Job Description:

• Investment Management middle office Database Developer/Architect has a combination of experience in technical, investment, and people skills working in a fast paced, innovative, and collaborative environment. 
• Both emotional intelligence and the ability to solve complex problems and communicate effectively are key to success.
• Ideally, candidate will have a strong background in Data Engineering and development skills to solve a variety of market risk analytic business issues. 
• Robust experience in cloud platforms is a plus.
• Position is for a team lead/developer to support a key transformation effort involving the processing of data to be used by quantitative business analysts.  
• Efforts includes analysis, design, development, testing, migration to production, and documentation.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Model / Design new database solutions to new problems including application support, scalability, redundancy, and recovery
• Ensure database support for front end user application to maintain and enhance complex data tasks
• Understand and enhance complex database models
• Create and maintain complex SQL procedures, triggers, and TVFs.
• In-depth knowledge of referential integrity constraints and indexing
• Analyzing different user requirements and coming up with specifications for the various database applications
• Follow and enhance in-house coding standards
• Troubleshoot/bug-fix SQL including performance optimization
• Database administration

Other Responsibilities:

• Profile server resource usage and optimize as necessary
• Assist in Compliance efforts to include, reporting, auditing, and implementation
• Use database code repositories for change (GIT) management

Skills:

• Knowledge, Experience, Skills & Abilities
• 10 years in SQL Server based application design and development
• Database table schema design and implementation
• Familiarity with investment management portfolio and market data
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
• Ability to build strong working relationships across the organization
• Strong communications, both written and verbal, in leading teams and coordinating with peers and other disciplines on driving projects/issues to closure.
• Commitment to organizational excellence and constant awareness to seek opportunities to improve processes/quality of deliverables.
• Strong and effective team player in working with various disciplines and peer groups

Experience/Education:

• 10 years of solid relational database experience
• 7-10 years working with MS SQL Server
• Primary database: MS SQL Server
• Clear experience as the primary designer of one or more complex database solutions, ideally in the financial asset management industry
• Clear experience leading high performing database development teams.

Require-

• Will be for 12 months contract and high chance to get contract to hire for right candidate
• Will be 3 round, 1 round will screening and 2 round will be Technical Round with David and Tom and 3 round will be panel with David, Tom and SME’s
• Looking for someone with Implement, analysis, design, development, testing, migration to production, and documentation for MS SQL Server
• Need a senior guys who can lead the team and resolve or help out team members and will be doing hands on development
• Not looking for DBA, Looking for Senior Developer, Architect or Lead with hands on works
• Will be Troubleshoot/bug-fix SQL including performance optimization
• Development often consists of designing tables, storing procedures, views and functions
• Will be helping data experts maintain, create and retrieve information from relational databases, which separate data into columns and rows
• Able to create and manage the databases and create complex queries
• Need to be go onsite if require, travel expense will be covered by Mass Mutual

Education:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or similar relevant experience
