Position Summary
This position will be working with patients with developmental disabilities in an inpatient hospital setting and outpatient clinical setting. They conduct assessments, develop and provide ongoing evaluation and monitoring of individualized behavioral plans, provide training to staff on best practices, participate in case conferences, and collaborate with families and caregivers. They will participate on the patients care team helping guide and direct appropriate levels of care.
Job Responsibilities Include
Provides supervision to behavioral intervention staff.
Provides staff development, training, and modeling for team members in strategies and methodologies for successful implementation of the treatment plan in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
Provides consultation regarding crisis interventions and critical incident supports; complete Incident Reports as needed.
Conducts training sessions for staff members, including all relevant personnel, on best practices for working with patients with developmental disabilities.
Conducts comprehensive assessments, including thorough observations, interviews, and analysis of medical records and other relevant information.
Develops individualized behavioral plans based on assessments, incorporating evidence-based practices and interventions.
Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
Collaborates with patients inpatient care team
Provides ongoing monitoring and evaluation of behavioral plans, making necessary adjustments based on progress and individual needs.
Offers guidance, support, and coaching to colleagues, assisting them in implementing behavioral plans and strategies effectively.
Stays updated on the latest research and advancements in the field of developmental disabilities and behavior analysis, integrating this knowledge into daily practice.
Maintains accurate and detailed documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and other relevant records.
Collaborates with families and caregivers, offering education, guidance, and resources to support their understanding and implementation of behavioral strategies.
Participates in case conferences, team meetings, and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
