Machine Operator, 1st shift

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery.
• Operate tools in order to aid in the manufacturing process.
• Perform periodic checks on equipment and solve problems as detected.
• Work with others in order to ensure that equipment is in proper working order.
• Observe and follow company safety rules and regulations.

• JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Determines project requirements, including scope, assembly sequences, and required methods and materials, according to blueprints, drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
• Lays out, measures, and marks dimensions and reference lines on material, according to drawings or templates.
• Sets up and operates fabricating machines to bend, cut, form, punch, drill, burn or otherwise form and assemble metal components.
• Lays out and examines metal stock or work pieces to be processed to ensure that specifications are met.
• Preheats work pieces to make them malleable, using hand torches.
• Fastens seams or joints together through welding components into products or to repair sheet metal items.
• Drills and punches holes in metal, for screws, bolts, and rivets.
• Track and record labor hours associated with each job.
• Load fabricated products onto truck for shipping.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED.
• MUST have overhead crane experience!
• Combination of additional education and experience.
• Aptitude for math, problem-solving, computers, and mechanics.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work and communicate well with others.
• Proficiency with hand tools.
• Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per year

Experience:

• Machine Operator: 1 year (Preferred)
