Materials Supervisor (FT, permanent hire position with full benefits, bonus and relocation packages)
Responsibilities:
- Analyze customer releases and inventory requirements.
- Develop and coordinate multiple production line schedules to meet customers’ ship schedules while meeting inventory goals, level loading and meeting customers’ takt times production.
- Assisting with the supervision of department including material handlers (interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaint and resolving problems).
- Analyze internal inventory component variances, problem solve and implement corrective actions.
- Communicate with internal and external customers, in a timely and Accurate Manner.
- Develop a positive and cooperative relationship with customers, some travel may be required.
- Data input, clerical and administrative activities as required by the position
- Analyze internal inventory component variances, problem solve and implement corrective actions.
- Assures that customers receive the desired quantity of product on a just-in-time basis.
- Maintains a just-in-time supply of raw materials.
- Ensures FIFO of materials.
- Perform cycle counts.
- Design and implement policies, procedures and methods as required to facilitate objectives.
- Assists with inventory control and customer billing.
- Performs new product/process analysis to ensure that the customer/supplier just-in-time system is maintained.
- Facilitates the procurement of transportation services as required to maintain a just-in-time process.
- Manage mobile equipment PM and safety conformance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Emphasis in Logistics, materials or supply chain preferred.
- Eight – Ten (8-10) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment including materials and logistics.
- Possess understanding of: modern manufacturing principles, current inventory and materials control, methodology to include MRP/JIT processes.
- Must demonstrate the ability to successfully plan, coordinate and direct the activities of the material control function, which includes the design, implementation and continuous improvement of the systems and procedures associated with the functional area.
- Must possess excellent computer skills, ERP experience is an asset.
- Understanding of AS400, CMS preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
