What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quoting- PVF position at ETNA Supply?
Job Summary:
Develop cost quotes on commercial projects under direct supervision as required by the customer while benefitting the Company.
- Meet or exceed the expectations of our customers by providing a positive customer experience.
- Review project documents and understand scope of work to bid.
- Routinely handle smaller, standard jobs
- Obtain pricing for materials from vendors or computer database.
- Prepare cost analysis.
- Generate an accurate and competitive quote based on the provided project information.
- Scan PDF of vendor quote into Monday.com.
- Accurately use main line multipliers.
- Inform supervisor of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items or computer database.
- Prepare quote addendums with help of supervisor.
- Report issues with quotes and customer issues, complaints, and concerns to supervisor for handling.
- Attempt to upsell and cross-sell when possible and appropriate.
- Work with supervisor to maximize profit for the Company.
- Select product from preferred vendors and support current goals of the company, such as focused rebates, whenever possible.
- Attend trainings and meetings as required.
- Special projects.
- Regular and predictable attendance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of products sold and their applications.
- Working knowledge of industrial and legal standards and guidelines regarding quotes.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, customer service, accuracy, sales, negotiation, judgement, teamwork, and stress management skills.
- General business acumen, especially regarding profit margin.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Eclipse, and Monday.com.
- Maintain professional image as a representative of the company.
- Effectively read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
- Ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide with or without using a calculator.
- Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts such as margins, discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; or
- Six months to a year of related experience and training; or
- Equivalent combination of experience and education.
