What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Person position at Eugene L Evans Mfg Co?
Is anybody out there still looking for work? We are still rolling at Evans and are looking for 2 or 3 more people to roll with us. We have openings in 3 departments. (Welding Department) needs an experienced welder good at fabricating small frames and ornamental iron handrails. We do steel and aluminum welding. We will train you to our methods and may adopt some of yours. (Awning Department) needs an experienced installer good at working off a ladder and various heights. Weight plays a factor in this as you occasionally have to get on top of awning structures to caulk and flash. (Maintenance Department) needs a Jack of all trades. Someone capable of doing most everything. Plumbing, electrical, roofing, carpentry, painting, and spray painting, ect. ect.
All applicants must have a valid drivers license and pass a drug screen. It is critical that you be drug free and be approved by our insurance carrier to drive our company trucks. Please dont even apply if you cant meet these requirements. We are looking for motivated individuals who are experienced with tape measures, squares, levels, and all types of power tools. The more you can do the more we can pay. Pay ranges between $15 and $18 per hour. There is a $500 sign on bonus payable at $100 per week provided you maintain good attendance and workmanship. $1000 sign on bonus if you have a year or more experience working at another awning company or ornamental iron handrail company. Also if you are already working but would like to work weekends for us we pay $50 extra for each Saturday and Sunday you work. You may call or text 256-282-6511 or come by Eugene L. Evans Mfg.
