Job Summary
The coordinator is a key member of the Event Planning team that assists Event Planners and Managers with the day-to-day operations. This is an administrative role which includes pulling reports, overseeing the main inbox, catering only orders, and managing several other event spaces. The coordinator needs to have impeccable communication, organization, and customer service skills. This is a fast-paced role that requires excellent multitasking abilities and strong administrative skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicates effectively with customers available services, policies, and fees
- Coordinates services for meetings which have been booked
- Organize and distribute event email communication
- Build and maintain customer and sub-vendor relationships
- Thoroughly and professionally communicate with customers and internal departments
- Be well versed in policies and procedures and provide excellent customer service while adhering to those policies
- Provide clerical/administrative, reception, and facilities support with high touch customer service
- Create reports, spreadsheets, and documents to organize event information
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and perform the job safely
- Onsite event assistance
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma /GED required, Associates degree in hospitality management, communications or other related field is preferred
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in hospitality industry
- Proficient skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
- Ability to multi-task; managing multiple projects and work assignment
- Ability to handle last-minute changes in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of events
