Eurofins is dedicated to delivering testing services that contribute to the health and safety of society and the planet, and to its corporate responsibility to protect the environment and ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion across the entire network of Eurofins companies.Job DescriptionEurofins Environment Testing Southwest is searching for a SVOA GCMS analyst to prepare and analyze environmental samples following EPA protocols in adherence with Eurofins Quality Assurance programs and SOP’s.Analyst duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:Extract and prepare samples for analysis by Gas Chromatography Mass SpectrometryEvaluate chromatography and mass spectra for qualitative and quantitative criteriaMonitor and manage backlog workload to meet client program requirementsUpload and peer review data using the laboratory information management system (LIMS)Perform basic instrument maintenance and repair, including column replacement and ion source cleaningPrepare standards and reagents for sample anlaysisMaintain instrument calibrations in accordance with laboratory QAQC requirements.Perform general housekeeping within the laboratory to maintain an organized and safe working environmentConduct daily duties in an efficient and safe manner, remaining compliant with environmental health and safety programsPerforming other laboratory duties as assignedQualificationsThe ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications1 years’ experience operating a GC or GCMS in a production laboratory setting, required.BS or BA in chemistry or related field; 3 years laboratory experience may substitute for a degreePrevious production oriented work experience a plus (awareness and ability to efficiently meet deadlines)Effective time management and multitasking skillsAbility to perform and evaluate basic mathematical calculations and formulasAbility to work independently following written and verbal instructionsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAdditional InformationCompensation Range: $19 - $22 per hour depending on qualifications and experience and eligible for 3 month performance evaluation.Position is full-time.  Shift available: Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm with overtime as needed.Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base compensation may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base compensation of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.We offer excellent full-time benefits including comprehensive medical coverage, life and disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid holidays and vacation, personal days, and dental and vision options.As a Eurofins employee, you will become part of a company that has received national recognition as a great place to work.  We offer excellent full-time benefits including comprehensive medical coverage, life and disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid holidays, paid time off, and dental and vision options.We support your development! Do you feel you don’t match 100% of the requirements?
