Job Description
Employee Responsibilities:
- Maintain, calibrate and operate flow cytometry analytical equipment and instruments
- Perform laboratory techniques, including but not limited to: aseptic expansion of mammalian cell culture and media formulation
- Execution of standard operating procedures, analytical test methods and analytical sampling plans
- Execute experimental approaches and new analytical technologies and assists with continuous improvement of analytical tools
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and willing to accept temporary responsibilities outside of initial job description
- Ability to think critically and demonstrate troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent skill in Microsoft word, Excel and data analysis
Qualifications
The Ideal Candidate would possess:
- Strong technical background in high complexity, multi-color flow cytometry assays.
- At least 1 year experience with execution of flow cytometry methods, and technical knowledge of instrument and method controls
- Meticulous attention to detail, proficient reasoning and problem-solving skills in experimental design, data analysis and interpretation.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and productively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a strong sense of integrity and confidentiality.
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
- BS or MS in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or related Biological Sciences
- Solid understanding of molecular biology, cell biology, or a related scientific field
- Hand-on experiences in flow cytometry and mammalian cell culture techniques
- Excellent organizational and planning skills to carry out experiments involving large numbers of experimental samples rapidly and efficiently
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Additional Information
Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living in a commutable distance to West Point, PA are encouraged to apply.
