Job Description
- Lead direct reports, group leaders and their teams, and serve clients. Work collaboratively with Operation Manager to monitor progress and ensure that all productivity and quality metrics are met.
- Serve as site Quality Manager by overseeing the Quality Assurance Team. Ensure that all ISO17025 requirements are fulfilled, and accreditation remains current and in good standings. Establish and maintain Quality Metrics – such as timely completions of investigations, CAPAs, events, audits, and audit responses.
- Collaborate with teammates on cross-functional teams and provide input for process improvement initiatives that create better experiences for our employees and clients; Proactively plan and multitask to maximize productivity; Ensure coverage and maximizes performance through management operating system to gain efficiencies
- Collaborate with Operation Manager for technical support; Organize technical resources and staff to accomplish client goals within given deadlines; Proactively make decisions and stand behind results.
- Hold monthly meetings with each direct report, the Eurofins department, and client managers
- Disseminate administrative communications
- Apply the highest quality standard in all areas of responsibility; Demonstrate and promote the company vision; Demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration
- Meet financial responsibilities as defined by the Director of the department
- Ensure adherence to highest quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operations
- Assist Director with business operations as needed
- Stay current science and technology and consults knowledgeably with clients
- Ensure coverage and performance
- Foster morale and teamwork
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or other science related degree concentration. Advanced degree preferred. Business Management education or experience preferred.
- 5 years of laboratory leadership skills
- Strong Analytical laboratory experience.
- A good understanding of day to day lab and business operations
- Demonstrate strong client service skills, teamwork, and collaboration
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
