Meets annual budget requirements through effective resource planning.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES : Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation;
enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
Develops warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures;
developing processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.
Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
Controls inventory levels by conducting cycle and physical counts; reconciling with data storage system and the Inventory team.
Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Meets warehouse operations financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures;
- analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees;
following up on work results.
Drives process improvements in all areas involving material and finished goods handling and delivery.
Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Establishes standard work assignments for direct reports to support the production schedule along with promoting safety objectives.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks;
participating in professional societies.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Ensures the facility is safe to perform the required warehouse functions and that employees are aware of all safety procedures and report all safety incidents as soon as possible.
Navigates the organization to accomplish the desired outcome.
Is recognized as a subject matter expert in warehouse operations within the organization.
Maintains an exemplary working relationship with operations, planning, inventory, human resources, safety and freight teams to ensure the highest levels of performance for his / her team.
Working with the site maintenance lead, ensures that all freezer units are performing as scheduled and proper temperatures are maintained.
Leads all performance management activities, including performance appraisals, disciplinary matters and other related activities by partnering with Human Resources.
Attends company scheduled meetings when applicable (i.e., safety meetings, production meetings, department meetings.).
Informs supervision of any problems or complications that may arise Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also responsible for : Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work-related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.

Must follow all Company Safety policies, as well as all GMP regulations and all lock-out / tag-out requirements according to OSHA requirements.
As part of your supervisory responsibility and as a back-up, supervisors must be able to do your work in ways that ensure safe food.
You must also be aware of issues associated with food safety and safe food handling practices that are relevant to your job.
Formal training is not required, but in house Food Safety Training conducted by a qualified staff member is mandatory.
You must know how to recognize, prevent and alleviate food safety hazards.

e., safety shoes QUALIFICATIONS : EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE : Bachelor's degree, plus 6-8 years of related warehouse experience and / or training;
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have minimum 5 years of experience managing staff LANGUAGE SKILLS : Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Must be able to effectively communicate with individuals possessing various degrees of technical expertise.
Bilingual a plus SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS : Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Good interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently.
General knowledge of modern warehouse and inventory practices; ability to prepare and maintain accurate records; ability to plan and supervise the work of others;
ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with associates; ability to prepare reports and maintain accurate records.
