Director of Operations - Logistics

The Operations Manager, will oversee a diverse range of critical functions, including the 24/7 Call Center, Broker Carrier Setup, Central Dispatch, Planning Group, and Heavy Haul/Permits. This individual will spearhead initiatives like the corporate FG Report program and Driver Retention strategies for our Central Group. Every day will present new challenges and opportunities to make a tangible impact on our success.

Essential Job Duties

• Foster the growth, development, and overall performance of our talented Operations Group, ensuring they have the tools and support they need to thrive
• Create, track, and optimize key performance indicators, ensuring that our team members are set up for success
• Oversee Central Dispatch fleet of Owner Operators
• Implement freight optimization and driver retention strategies
• Identify opportunities for process improvement
• Facilitate the implementation of continuous improvement objectives
• Assign drivers and dispatchers
• Handle agent, customer, and driver escalations
• Stay abreast of industry regulations and ensure compliance

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of leadership experience, successfully leading a team of 4 direct reports
• Trucking industry experience
• Operations Transportation Management experience
• TMS familiarity
• Ability to remain patient and calm under pressure
• Top-notch customer service skills
• Skill to quickly pivot from one task to another and reprioritize throughout the day
• Collaborative team player
• Strong typing skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to read, speak, write, and understand English in a professional manner

• Data analysis experience
