Description
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to acquire new clients and expand the company's footprint in the employee benefits market.
- Identify and qualify potential prospects through proactive prospecting, networking, and referrals, leveraging industry knowledge and market insights to uncover opportunities.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments and consultative sales conversations with prospects to understand their business objectives, challenges, and employee benefits needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriting, product development, and customer service, to develop tailored solutions that address clients' needs and differentiate Evans National from competitors.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and RFP responses that articulate the value proposition of Evans National's offerings and demonstrate a deep understanding of clients' needs.
- Negotiate terms and pricing agreements with clients, leveraging a consultative and value-based approach to drive mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and providing exceptional service throughout the sales process and beyond.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and threats, and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Track sales activity, pipeline development, and revenue targets using CRM tools, and provide regular updates and forecasts to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in employee benefits or related field, with a proven track record of success in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Deep understanding of employee benefits products and services, including health insurance, retirement plans, voluntary benefits, and compliance requirements.
- Strong sales acumen and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate value propositions, overcome objections, and close deals.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish rapport and credibility with clients at all levels.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with CRM software preferred.
- Industry certifications such as CEBS, CHRS, or REBC are a plus.
