HR Generalist
Position Summary: Eventus WholeHealth delivers an integrated model that provides holistic care for medically vulnerable adults achieving extraordinary outcomes for the people we serve. This care is provided to adults who reside in skilled nursing, assisted living facilities and private residences through a network of healthcare providers including Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Psychologists, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Clinical and Administrative Support Staff.
We're seeking a talented Human Resources Generalist in the Chapel Hill, NC area to join our team!
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Triage first line employee questions related to benefits, payroll, and HRIS; answer and/or route to other team members as determined.
- Provide guidance, support, and counsel to supervisory team on employee relations, corrective actions, and performance management issues. Work with the Director of HR on more complex employee relations, organizational, and performance management issues. Ensure compliance with Federal and State Labor Laws.
- Welcome new employees, in assigned group, to the organization by facilitating new hire orientation at the corporate HQ. Coordinate and set-up new hire orientation. Working with HR department, manage the new hire and onboarding process for assigned employees; assist as needed with field employees. Ensure compliance with all recordkeeping laws and regulations; update processes and forms and communicate changes as needed and ensure new hires understand the overall business objectives
- Administer the company’s drug testing and background screening programs for assigned employee group; ensure documentation of consistent administration, etc.
- Assist with benefits administration, communications, and open enrollment; must be fully versed on all benefit offerings.
- Provide guidance and direction, maintain records, and monitor compliance on employee leaves; medical, FMLA, STD/LTD, and other LOAs.
- Assist with the performance review process; to include tracking evaluations and increase submissions, as well as providing training on the process.
- Assist in the development, communication, and enforcement of local HR policies & procedures; ensure compliance with company-wide HR policies & procedures.
- Assist with developing and conducting the supervisor and lead training program
- Coordinate and lead various training sessions for employees and managers based on identified needs.
- Manage Worker’s Compensation claims for employees in the Corporate office in coordination with the Director of HR.
- Act as a HRIS resource and subject matter expert; provide assistance and conduct training as necessary. Act as backup for timekeeping adjustments for hourly employees.
- Ensure timely and accurate entries to the HRIS database.
- Participate in HR Audits to ensure compliance with various policies/procedures, federal/state legal requirements.
- Assist the Talent Acquisition team as requested; provide assistance with and training on recruiting systems and processes as needed.
- Assist hiring managers with reviewing candidates, interviewing and reference checks for Corporate office employees as required.
- Assist with tracking and completion of annual compliance and safety programs tracking (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA, FLU vaccinations)
- Assist in the due diligence and integration process for potential new acquisitions.
- Ensure compliance with EEO-1 Reporting.
- Support payroll function by triaging questions as needed, review payroll journal for accuracy before processing
- Take the lead on or assist with all other HR projects on an as needed basis.
- Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed
EDUCATION AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
- BA/BS degree required; degree in Human Resources-related field preferred
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification strongly preferred
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of related experience
- Excellent PC skills required; experience with HRIS system required; experience with Paycor a plus
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Software for Screening & Selection of employees
- Knowledge of EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA, Workers Compensation, DOL, E-Verify, and other related Federal & State laws required.
- Knowledge of workplace complaint investigations, employee advocacy and EEO compliance
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and earn the trust of employees and management
- Ability to work independently, deliver to deadlines, and effectively handle multiple priorities
- Ability to solve problems with minimal direction
- Great attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines
- Passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement; Demonstrated experience driving processes improvements.
