Sheet Metal Supervisor

Everbrite constructs and illuminates some of the most recognizable signs in your city. We are looking for a 1st Shift Metal Metal Production Supervisor to oversee the operations of our Sheet Metal Department. This person will be responsible for the quality and efficiency of completed products.

Responsibilities

• Instill quality, efficiency and good work habits within departments.
• Promote good housekeeping at all times,utilizing 6S program.
• Responsible for compliance with OSHA requirements through safety awareness, accident prevention, and accident investigation. Participate in monthly safety meetings.
• Keep all equipment and tools in safe working order. Report all repairs needed to maintenance.
• Make sure all new department employees are properly trained on machinery and equipment.
• Hold daily huddles to communicate department, company, safety, training topics with employees.
• Schedule vacation within department to maintain a sufficient number of employees to meet production schedule.
• Use Engineering ECO/ECR process to correct and update all Bills of materials.
• Work with Customer Service to schedule shipments as required meeting customer's schedules.
• Work with other supervisors for timely completion of customer orders. This involves meeting with 1st shift supervisors prior to shift change.
• Determine training needs and schedule training sessions for employees.

Skills

• Prefer 3-5 years experience in sheet metal fabrication, welding, manufacturing process.
• Able to coach and communicate effectively with employees is required.
• Require prior supervisory experience.
• Computer literacy in AS400 or similar manufacturing software package, Microsoft Office and internet experience.
• Basic knowledge of bookkeeping procedures.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
