What are the responsibilities and job description for the Secretary litigation position at Everett Dorey?
Orange County based defense civil litigation firm seeks a litigation secretary with at least 3-6 years of experience. This is a great opportunity for a career-oriented secretary to learn and grow with a dynamic firm.
The ideal candidate must have current experience in civil defense litigation (not plaintiff), and accustomed to working with multiple attorneys.
The position also requires the ability to be highly organized, prioritize, accomplish tasks in a timely manner, pay attention to detail, have strong organizational and time management skills.
Candidates are expected to be able to support all aspects of defense civil litigation, including experience with trial prep, and have knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures, local court rules, and experience with electronic filing and serving.
Additionally, candidates should possess strong calendaring skills, including knowledge of working with calendaring / docketing software and a document management system (DMS) such as NetDocuments or iManage.
The position is full time. There is an opportunity to work remotely one day per week. We offer a robust benefits package including 401K matching.

The salary range for this position is $65,000-$85,000. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
