The Industrial Maintenance Electrician is responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted operation of our industrial machinery and electrical systems. This position plays a crucial role in preventing downtime, maximizing productivity, and upholding the safety standards within our manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, along with exceptional problem-solving skills.
Requirements
Responsibilities
· Conduct regular maintenance and inspection of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment to identify potential issues or malfunctions.
· Troubleshoot electrical problems, diagnose root causes, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
· Repair and replace defective components, wiring, motors, switches, and other electrical parts following established safety protocols and electrical codes.
· Collaborate with the maintenance team to plan and execute preventative maintenance procedures, reducing the risk of unplanned breakdowns.
· Perform electrical testing, including voltage, current, and resistance measurements, to assess the condition and functionality of various systems.
· Install, maintain, and calibrate electrical equipment, ensuring they meet operational requirements and safety standards.
· Assist in developing and updating electrical maintenance procedures and documentation to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance.
· Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns, prioritize repairs, and communicate the status of repairs to relevant stakeholders.
· Adhere to safety guidelines, lockout/tagout procedures, and best practices to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
· Collaborate with other departments to troubleshoot complex issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
· Keep abreast of industry trends, electrical technologies, and advancements to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant vocational training in electrical systems is preferred.
· 2 years of Electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
· Working knowledge and repair experience on hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, mechanical and electrical systems
· Solid understanding of electrical principles, codes, and regulations (NEC, OSHA, etc.).
· Experience performing routine maintenance on HVAC equipment and related systems
· HVAC certification preferred
· Electrical certification preferred
· OSHA Forklift certification preferred
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud and is non-climate controlled.
