Job Summary:
This position is responsible for protecting company and Investor assets by performing a variety of activities related to the rehabilitation and protection of Evergreen properties. This position will reconcile and file claims to investors and work in conjunction with internal departments, investors, attorneys, and vendors to prevent losses, maximize claim recoveries while always remaining in compliance. This position also provides support for maintaining foreclosure loans in compliance with company guidelines including but not limited to, collection of payments, document requests, and interaction with vendors and legal firms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Remain up to date and comply with all state and federal laws, regulations, investor, and insurer guidelines
  • Work with property preservation companies to achieve conveyance condition
  • Arranges for contractual services relating to property inspections, appraisers, real estate agents, etc., who may be involved in the inspection or evaluation of the property
  • Work closely with leadership team(s) providing loan-level status updates
  • Manage Invoices and bids for work requests
  • File and track claim status to final approval resolving any findings as they occur
  • Monitor inspection reports identifying homes requiring property preservation
  • Manage the post foreclosure conveyance processes ensuring deadlines are met
  • Identify and inventory recoverable disbursements for claim filings
  • Gather receipts and supporting documents for all recoverable expenses
  • Provide loan level reconciliations
  • Work with leadership to resolve conveyance, reconveyance, and title issues
  • Update the data systems of property preservation and claims progress
  • Integrate specific servicing requirements regarding loss analysis processes
  • Quality control conveyance and title packages
  • Provide suggestions for claims management solutions
  • Calculate and prepare reinstatement, payoff figures, and other debt information to attorneys
  • Answers calls from attorney firms and vendors
  • Reviews tasks daily to ensure they are completed within company timelines
  • Cross train to serve as a support for the foreclosure specialist
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Provide a “WOW” experience and effectively communicate with associates, clients, partners, and vendors via phone, written communication and/or in person.

  • Be willing to assume additional responsibilities/duties/projects as they arise.
  • Have strong organization skills, the ability to learn quickly, and accuracy/timeliness in completing tasks.
  • Perform all actions in accordance with policies and procedures of the company.
  • Expected to meet productivity guidelines of the position.
  • Effectively use software specific for the position and Microsoft office products.
  • Work well with other members of the EHL team and be willing to fill in when needed.

Specific Skills/ Knowledge/ Abilities Required for Position:

  • Knowledge of P260 and property preservation related systems
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • 2-4 years’ experience and full understanding of:
  • FHA Part A and B Claim Filing
  • FHA Supplemental Claim Filing
  • FHA Loss Mitigation Claim Filing
  • VA Claim Filing
  • USDA Claim Filing
  • Familiarity with VA, FHA and USDA servicing guidelines
  • Knowledge of mortgage banking, familiarity with RESPA, FDCPA, GLBA, and federal and state laws related to foreclosure and bankruptcy processes
  • Ability to audit and analyze work outputs by interpreting government agency and department guidelines/standards
  • Advanced analytical skills, ability to analyze problems and provide the appropriate solution
  • Advanced problem solving, multi-tasking and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to analyze data and make recommendations on how to improve trends
  • Must be comfortable working in a start-up dynamic environment
  • Must be highly confidential to protect the client's privacy rights
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and take direction from more senior personnel
  • Proven ability to prioritize workflow during high volumes and within critical time frame
  • Self-starter who can work in a fast paced, multi-faceted environment
  • Good character, motivated, hard working

  • Ability to work well with fellow associates, clients, and vendors.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, occasionally noisy environment.
  • May be required to drive for business purposes and if so, must hold a driver’s license in good standing and maintain personal auto insurance in compliance with EHL’s Auto Insurance policy.
  • Must be able to speak and hear, lift and carry up to twenty-five pounds (25 lbs.) or occasionally more.
  • Requires all forms of dexterity and mobility throughout the shift.
  • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, sit climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
