Telehealth Registered Dietitian
This position is for a full-time, 100% remote, Telehealth Registered Dietitian. You must be based and reside in California. Please do not submit an application if you are not looking for a full-time position. At least four years of legitimate nutrition COUNSELING experience is required.

Responsibilities
- Build lasting relationships with patients and conduct appropriate treatment plans to maintain patient retention
- Establish and communicate appropriate professional boundaries with patients
- Evaluate the dietary needs of a patient by assessing their health and exercise levels, sleep and food habits
- Conduct medical nutrition therapy (MNT) using evidenced-based recommendations to provide ethical care for patients during initial assessment and regular follow-ups
- Provide necessary documentation for all sessions and correspondence
- Collaborate with rest of treatment team as appropriate and necessary
- Engage in continuing education to support growth and keep up with the latest research and findings
- Clarify information to patients in a simple and effective way while explaining the benefits of proper nutrition on overall health/specific health conditions
- Offer counseling, and suggest positive alterations in nutrition to address patients’ dietary restrictions
- Create full and personalized nutrition plans that promote healthy lifestyles
- Set clear objectives and provide support to patients to help them in their progress
- Demonstrate assertiveness when providing guidance and feedback to patients
- Communicate with confidence and conviction, ensuring that recommendations are heard and understood
- Maintain an organized system for keeping track of patients, and adequately follow up as necessary
- Counsel an average of 24-28 patient appointments per week
Skills/Requirements
- Passionate about educating patients on long-term behavior change
- Well-organized with attention to details
- Type A personality
- Tech-savvy (this is a VIRTUAL position)
- Proven COUNSELING experience as a registered dietitian (minimum 4 years' experience)
- Empathic and kind personality to build rapport and engage with patients
- Good understanding of research methods and data analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Creativity and critical thinking
- CDR card in good standing
