General Summary: Under the supervision of the OT, PT, or ST, the Rehab Aide performs routine therapeutic activities including maintenance and exercise programs and performs baseline modalities. They assist with the daily schedule of department treatments and are responsible for the documentation and maintenance of the department environment.
1. Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and have means of transportation. Must be able to meet Carolina SeniorCare's auto insurance carrier's standards for coverage.
2. Education: High school diploma required. Additional coursework in allied health subject preferred. Current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required (will certify on site).
3. Experience: Must have one year experience working with frail or elderly population.
Other Skills:
- Basic knowledge in working with frail and elderly to support Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
- Ability to work effectively with culturally, economically, and educationally diverse populations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Performs basic range of motion, routine therapeutic activities, and exercise as outlined by therapist.
2. Provides functional transfer training and assists with activity of daily living tasks as outlined by therapist.
3. Conducts specialized exercise and other groups. Conducts maintenance ambulation programs.
4. Provides modalities as outlined by therapist.
5. Completes and files daily documentation, treatment flow sheets, and on- going monthly flow sheets.
6. Assists with preparing daily treatment/visit schedule. Escorts participants to and from the therapy gym.
7. Assists with monitoring participant's equipment and reports/assists with minor repair and/or equipment ordering.
8. Attends rehabilitation meetings.
9. Completes all routine equipment and gym cleaning. Completes daily maintenance checklists.
10. Performs other duties as required.
Salary will be based upon skills and qualifications.
