Direct Support Professional/Caregiver

Evian Care is a Medicaid approved DDD home healthcare agency that focuses on serving the developmentally disabled adult community. Our primary focus is to provide peace of mind to developmentally disabled adults and their families.

Please note: Evian Care's office is located in Lakewood, New Jersey, however, we conduct our entire hiring and onboarding process remotely. We serve individuals throughout the state of New Jersey and are looking to fill a position in or near the town stated in this ad.

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
- Support individuals in participating in community activities and social interactions
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and individual progress

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of resident rights and ability to advocate for individuals' rights.
- Understanding of behavior management techniques and strategies.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

- Must have a vehicle and be ok with using it to take your client out for activities. Mileage is reimbursed.
