What are the responsibilities and job description for the DSP (Direct Support Professional)/ Caregiver- Overnight position at Evian Care?
Need DSP for overnight shift Sun, Mon, Wed, Thurs. 9PM to 9 AM
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
- Support individuals in participating in community activities and social interactions
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and individual progress
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or related field preferred
- Knowledge of resident rights and ability to advocate for individuals' rights
- Understanding of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
