Overview:

The Curriculum Designer will play a pivotal role in the success of EIM’s mission with our University Partner(UP) stakeholders. The person in this role works closely with faculty and subject matter experts (SMEs) responsible for creating and delivering online and hybrid courses that enrich the student experience across UP clients and academic disciplines(ie, DPT, OTD, PA, etc.). The Curriculum Specialist will report to a Curriculum Manager and assist in the ongoing management (i.e., development, delivery, evaluation) of assigned academic curricula. This individual will also work closely with the Director of Curriculum Development & Design and the Curriculum Manager to enhance the delivery of graduate healthcare curriculum and create systems for collaborative course and content development.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Curriculum or Instruction and 1-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Proven ability to successfully manage competingprojects and deadlines
  • Demonstrated knowledge of curricular mapping and the application of instructional design methodologies to course development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a diversified work environment with varying levels of ambiguity
  • Experience integrating theory and practice to deliver pedagogically sound learning experiences
  • Track record of working under deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly self-motivated and self-directed but able to work in a fast-paced team environment
Responsibilities:
  • Provide curricular design expertise for the development and support of academic courses across UP programs.
  • Provide developing UP programs with tailored curriculum planning, development, and mapping support to achieve program goals and meet regional and programmatic accreditation requirements.
  • Develop and apply Quality Matters to discipline-based curricula and learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with faculty in the development of interactive learning activities that align with course objectives, achieve program learning outcomes, and provide valuable curricular assessment data.
  • Assist in managing courses and instructional content within the EIM Learning Library and Learning Management System, to include intellectual property rights and sharing permissions, for all assigned curricula.
  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate instructional content based on the academic calendar and established project timelines for each UP program.
  • Engage in ongoing quality reviews and participate in data-informed assessments of learning experiences to identify areas of improvement in instructional clarity, engagement, and outcome-driven learning pathways.
  • Promote the importance of considering course design and integrating e-learning technologies to enhance the student learning experience.
  • Innovate and improve learning solutions with E-Learning Team members through a collaborative production and delivery cycle.
  • Effectively communicate with EIM department and university partner stakeholders regarding curricular needs and updates.
  • Respond to Faculty and Student Support Center (i.e., Freshdesk) tickets as assigned. Provide or coordinate direct support to faculty or student in response to these requests.
  • Provide on-call, after-hours (i.e., evenings, weekends) help-desk support, on a rotating basis, to UP faculty requests in our Faculty and Student support center.
