Job Description
The OEM Account Representative is a unique position within Evident Scientific that combines microscopy component sales and strategic business development.
As part of the OEM team, you will work with equipment manufacturers in the Life Science and Industrial markets who integrate Evident microscope components into their own manufactured products / systems.
Job Duties
- Function as a resource for customers using product, industry, applications, and optics knowledge to promote Evident microscope components as a complete solution to customer requirements.
- Operate and maintain the assigned territory as a business by creating and executing a territory plan to effectively achieve goals.
- Develop and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with existing OEM customers, as well as develop new opportunities at target customer accounts to effectively grow sales in the assigned territory.
- Achieve or exceed sales target and KPIs for OEM sales in assigned territory.
- Generate sales leads and manage opportunities to grow OEM customer-base and territory sales.
- Operate with the highest ethical standard during every customer interaction and in alignment with Evident philosophies and leadership principles.
- Develop advanced proficiency with CRM and internal business-related software.
- Travel for customer meetings, product evaluations, training and trade shows.
Job Requirements
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in sciences or equivalent experience required.
Experience :
Minimum of 3-5 years in sales, product marketing, or engineering.
Skills : Required :
Required :
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be a self-motivated, confident individual with outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Must be fluent in all Microsoft applications including Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred :
- Educational or experiential focus in optics and / or optical systems
- Expertise in microscopy and microscopy techniques
- Sales territory management
- Self-directed, highly motivated strategic thinker
Other Considerations (travel / hours availability, etc.) :
Must be able to travel as required (30-50%)
