Staff Auditor

Job Summary

Ewart & Associates, LLC is seeking qualified candidates to join our team as a Staff Auditor. The Staff Auditor will join our family owned firm who is committed to serving our clients’ needs. The Staff Auditor will provide direct support as a member of the audit team in executing day-to-day activities of audit engagements for multiple clients. The successful candidate will serve as a cohesive team member who consistently demonstrates high integrity and reliability within a professional environment.

Responsibilities

- Perform procedures as assigned by firm partners, including planning, execution, and reporting.

- Identify problem areas and propose solutions to management team.

- Follow documentation standards and prepare clear, concise and orderly working papers.

- Demonstrate good time management skills and the ability to work independently.

- Exhibit teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members.

- Use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of service.

- Develop and maintain a good working relationship with clients.

- Perform other accounting, auditing and administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications

- Availability to travel to work in the Miami Lakes office and at regional clients – approximately 20-25% travel to client offices.

- Strong understanding of accounting concepts/GAAP required.

- AS or BS Degree in accounting or related field preferred. Our ideal candidate would be a CPA or be working to become a CPA.

- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint.

- Detail oriented with excellent project management and organizational skills.

- Superior communication skills, both oral and written.

- Client-oriented work ethic, delivering high quality results.

- Dedication to teamwork and leadership.

- Person of sound judgment, that can manage risks effectively.

Ewart & Associates, LLC is a family owned CPA firm located in Miami Lakes, FL. We serve clients in the credit union industry, providing a range of engagements including traditional financial statement audits, agreed-upon procedures engagements for Anti-Money Laundering, SAFE Act Compliance, ACH Compliance, Information Security, Fraud Auditing, and other specialty engagements.

Our clients are located throughout Florida, North Carolina, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
