Title: Salesforce & Data Analyst (S&D Analyst)
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

About the position: exalt is looking for a Salesforce & Data Analyst (S&D Analyst) to lead the research, development and implementation of metrics designed to assess and demonstrate program impact, drive a data-centered organizational culture, ensure quality, completeness, and integrity of data to enhance day-to-day operations and to aid decision-making and the development of data-informed policies. In addition, the S&D Analyst plays a key role in supporting the Executive Director and the Development team in researching, synthesizing, and presenting information to support funding applications and impact of funds received.
Responsibilities:
Salesforce Administration & Data Management– 75%
- Be the first point of contact for any Salesforce related queries and/or requests from internal users.
- Perform user management activities like assigning licenses, permissions, etc.
- Create data management policies and procedures with clear guidelines for staff.
- Create and maintain reports, snapshots, and dashboards.
- Actively look for opportunities to optimize configuration and automate manual processes and suggest enhancements.
- Design and generate reports and dashboards to reflect student and program progress/impact for multiple constituent perspectives including program staff, senior management, funders. Create ongoing reports to assess program fidelity (at a minimum, quarterly).
- Provide program staff with weekly reports on key program metrics to help staff identify gaps in their Salesforce work and assess program (e.g. program cycle) and student development
- Regularly audit data and conduct data clean-ups.
- Develop and manage external partnerships with outside agencies for data collection, such as Department of Education, Criminal Justice Association, Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice, etc.
- Work closely with Senior Staff to ensure exalt is effectively capturing and measuring program impact, largely through Salesforce database.
- Ensure Salesforce is equipped to store and report on all data required by most recent Theory of Change process from demographic data about students, to short-, medium- and long-term student outcomes.
Data Analytics – 25%
- Assess and report out on programmatic and organizational goals twice a year.
- Work with Senior Staff and Development Team to develop annual report and other communication tools that showcase data and outcomes (such as fact sheets, PowerPoint presentations, appeals to individual donors, dashboard for grants and solicitations, etc.)
- Build and refine processes for updating information on exalt’s website.
- Interpret data, reports and dashboards
- Conduct research on specific data points to support fundraising efforts as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Salesforce experience required.
- Experience with database administration.
- Passionate about solving problems by engaging with cross-functional teams to understand challenges and identifying systematic solutions.
- Experience developing and managing digital content preferred.
- Knowledge of statistics or related subject.
- Marketing experience highly preferred.
- Exceptional Excel skills.
- Exceptional analytical skills.
- Graphic design skills highly preferred.
Location:
Currently hybrid model – exalt is planning to operate 100% in-person by summer 2022.
Compensation and Benefits:
exalt offers a very attractive compensation package, including a base salary of $60,000–75,000, commensurate with experience, as well as health, dental, vision, and life insurance; 401k matching; paid time off; and other benefits.
