Title: Firmware Test Lead
Location: Sunnyvale, CA (100% onsite)
Customer: Quest Global
Rate/Salary: $70/hr on C2C | $110K - $135K DOE
Exp: 9 – 12 Years
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Work with hardware engineering and technology teams to understand product design requirements and own definition of testing requirements & development of test systems
- Work closely with tech leads to define product KPIs and procedures to measure & test KPIs
- Experience in working with vendor and cross functional teams for HW issues triage, board bring up for consumer electronics
- Build test plan/infrastructure/test strategies as well as to help grow and develop new functionality.
- Experienced in estimating the scope and volume of work
- Build new teams and mentor junior / new members
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
- Proven board bring-up and debug skills
- Good knowledge of peripherals such as USB, SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO etc
- Minimum 4 years of Test lead experience. Expecting technically hands on capabilities to identify issues and define solutions to test HW
- Experience with firmware testing environment (e.g. adb, UART, firmware update)
- Experience with test automation
- Good to have scripting language (Python, bash) Knowledge
- Understanding of Android bootloader, kernel, HAL and user space development
