ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for managing one or more highly complex or enterprise‐wide software development program(s) consisting of multiple projects.
- Responsible for Creation and maintenance of critical project artifacts, including vision statement, impact analysis, product roadmap, user stories, requirements analysis, end-user-content, testing plan, and deployment strategy
- Responsible for leading daily or weekly status meetings with cross-functional roles including developers, stakeholders, end-users, testing teams, and others to ensure development timeline and maintain project vision
- Responsible for all aspects of the management and delivery of assigned projects.
- Facilitates and drives project delivery by holding Project Managers, customer and delivery teams accountable for commitment and support.
- Aligns project delivery with broader strategic initiatives and goals
- Responsible for the management of one or more highly complex Technology software development programs that consist of multiple project initiatives.
- Partners with key business and senior leadership to support the program strategy & business case and provide various enterprise‐wide high‐level project delivery plans
- Ensures integration of projects and adjusts project scope, timing, and budgets as needed, based on the needs of the business
- Communicates with Technology leadership and Business leadership to communicate program strategy, status and changes
- Responsible for delivering all projects contained in the IT project portfolio on time, within budget and meeting the strategic and business requirements
- Responsible for managing key project milestones and recommending adjustments to key leaders and management
- Works under general direction of senior level management; strong independent resource who self-drives the work efforts required.
- Responsible for managing all aspects of the Technology design, development and implementation of the program within and across different Technology teams.
- May direct and mentor a team of project managers, portfolio managers and/or other project management staff
- Oversees implementation of program and project plans, monitors progress, resource usage and quality, and makes needed adjustments
- Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk and resources of the work effort being managed
- Responsible for conducting risk assessments and developing plans for eliminating or mitigating the risks identified
- Sets/evolves and/or provides significant input into the vision of how project management should be done
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- 7 to 10 years of Technology/Software Development work experience
- 5 years managing complex Technology projects
- Highly advanced knowledge and experience of all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle required.
- Highly advanced ability to partner with other organizations to manage key dependencies and accomplish shared delivery milestones.
- Advanced knowledge of multiple project management strategies, disciplines, and theories
- Advanced ability to implement project management strategies, disciplines, and theories into a shared vision.
- Advanced ability in successfully managing complex, enterprise‐wide IT programs.
- Highly advanced communication skills; ability to effectively and accurately communicate to all levels.
- Advanced understanding and ability to successfully manage complex program and project budgets
- Advanced ability in mitigating risk and implementing contingency plans
