Position Summary: The Dietitian will work with a multi-disciplinary group to provide services to a variety of patient populations including in-patient, out-patient, pediatrics, and behavioral health patients.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for program development and building rapport with referral sources.
- Works with diverse populations including in-patient, and out-patients from Behavioral Health, Pediatrics, and Specialty clinics.
- Coordinates with Nutrition Services to develop and provide specialized diets using appropriate dietary modifications where necessary.
- Surveys food preparation and distribution for safe practices ensuring variety, adequate seasoning, visual appeal, proper temperature, and appropriate portion sizes.
- Educates patients, families, and staff about requirements; handles complaints and resolves problems.
- Develops patient care and nutrition plans specific to their dietary needs and challenges to improve the health and physical conditions of the patient.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in the related field.
- State license.
- Certification from the American Dietary Association preferred.
- At least two years of experience in a related field of dietary work.
- A satisfactory combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
