Commercial Roofing Service Foreman

This role includes daily leak detection and repair, roof inspections, maintenance repair contracts, crew hour tracking, and truck material inventory. There is more but let’s get the basics out of the way.

Responsibilities

• Work with Company Service Department to achieve company revenue, expense and profit goals
• Responding to service calls and addressing customer issues in a timely manner.
• Diagnosing problems and providing solutions to resolve issues, including providing proactive recommendations.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and installations according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
• Accurately documenting work performed, including materials used and time spent, and communicating this information.
• Complete needed reports pertaining daily work or company vehicles or equipment.
• Maintaining company vehicle and inventory of materials and tools.
• Providing exceptional customer service and building positive relationships with customers.
• Communicating with internal service team, site representatives, vendors, etc.
• Continuously improving technical skills and knowledge through training and certification programs.
• Following company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, quality, and customer service.
• Produce revenue goals through assigned projects, service requests, onsite NTE increases, and onsite leak to contract conversions.
• Maintain an average efficiency rate of 95% (less than 5% callbacks) on all service work.
• Provide emergency service response as needed.
• Work alongside an assistant technician while providing leadership to train on standard roofing practices.
  
  

Qualifications/Requirements

• Thorough knowledge and at least 3 years of experience with all commercial roofing materials and roofing systems.
• Mechanically minded and have a strong ability to troubleshoot and make quality repairs.
• Experience diagnosing leaks on HVAC, skylights, masonry, siding, and other potential leak sources.
• Proficient in technology/CRM software. Ability to email, use apps, digital photo documentation, and transmission.
• Detail Oriented and Problem-Solving Skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• General good health and condition. Often work at heights and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy materials, carrying equipment, and working in challenging weather conditions. Must have an excellent sense of balance and depth perception.
• Safety Conscious.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and technical skills.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Valid state driver’s license and the ability to maintain and operate a company vehicle.
• English is required, Spanish speaking is a plus.

• $32-$37 per hour depending on experience.
