What are the responsibilities and job description for the Exhibit Prep Specialist position at Exhibit Concepts, Inc?
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reads and interprets any and all blueprints on new and existing tradeshow exhibit property.
- Works closely with the Account Manager and Exhibit Preparation Supervisor to prep exhibit property in a safe and timely manner.
- Applies general knowledge on repair techniques, laminating, the use of Bondo and simple epoxies, and paints.
- Operates safely and knowledgeably all types of basic hand tools.
- Responsible for maintaining good records concerning current and past jobs.
- Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and preferred two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
General Skills:
- Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Windows7 or greater, and familiarity with Microsoft Office 2010 including Word, Excel, & Outlook.
- Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Forklift driving is a requirement (ECI certification).
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand.
- The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- A forklift will be used to move anything over 75 lbs.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
