We are looking for a new Strategic Pricing Manager to support the Experian Marketing Services and Experian Partner Solutions businesses. Come join the Strategic Pricing and Analytics team and become part of the front line in supporting the success of the North America business. Our team is responsible for commercial pricing across our various sales channels, product suites and client segments as well as managing process governance and pricing integrity. Our team is committed to Sales empowerment, self-service, commercial creativity and speed of sale. We engage directly with Sales, Commercial Management and Clients to construct and negotiate competitive and creative pricing deals to win business aligned to client success and financial objectives.
This role works across all facets of the organization (Sales, marketing, operations, contracts, finance and clients) to secure business for Experian. In addition to pricing existing products, there is the opportunity to establish price for new products at launch. The role affords the ability to blend common finance and strategy concepts with sales and client psychology to create pricing and sales messaging.
The team supports overall revenue and EBIT targets for the North America business. The team is made of Pricing Managers, CPQ Specialists and Analytics that are aligned to support the sales teams across the many business units in North America.
ISF is looking for an intelligent, career-minded, driven professional with demonstrated leadership and strategic competencies to support the sales team in a role that uniquely blends finance, business intelligence, governance, and problem solving. This role is dynamic, provides opportunity for development, and will give you exposure to the integrated sales organization. This position will be responsible for supporting the one or more sales channel within the CIS business unit and indirectly supporting and managing other team members. This role will help drive process improvement and synergies across all channels with a heavy emphasis on analytics and business partnering. In addition to monthly and annual reporting and administrative functions, this role will provide consultative support to guide and facilitate strategic business objectives. This is a highly collaborative role with interactions with sales, accounting, various BU finance teams, strategic pricing, product, and legal. This is a hands-on analytical role in a fast-paced environment that will report to the Director of ISF.
- Partner effectively with the sales leadership to drive performance in excess of profit expectations
- Front facing sales support with daily interaction with sales teams to help drive strong revenue results
- Heavy emphasis is placed on improving current processes and procedures through streamlining and automation, applying financial discipline, and collaboration with business partners to deliver the broader CIS business strategy.
- Provide consolidated financial analysis and information to sales and finance leadership, along with executive summaries, recommendations, and conclusions
- Develop and maintain decision support platforms to provide key analytics as it relates to compensation plan exceptions
- Lead the annual goal setting process in partnership with sales and finance leadership while coordinating with multiple BU’s across NA
- Manage the monthly goal tracking process and sales forecast including commission forecast and various reporting
- Data mining and reporting from multiple systems
- Problem solving and compensation plan exception analysis and recommendations
- BI tool planning, development, testing, and roll out
- Process engineering as new products, teams, acquisitions, investments are integrated into sales
- Owns governance approval process for large commercial deals
- 5 years of related experience in finance, FP&A, financially focused data scientist or closely related role
- Intellectual curiosity, proactive and proven growth mindset
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related discipline; MBA preferred; familiarity with Tableau
- Highly collaborative, accountable, and extremely detailed under tight timelines
- Analytical thinker, flexible problem solver, and team player with the ability to multi-task several important priorities simultaneously
- High degree of commercial acumen; able to drive high level processes while maintaining attention to detail
- Progressive experience across multiple financial domains including financial analysis, forecasting, pricing, management reporting, budgeting and strategic planning
- Aptitude to learn and drive continuous improvement and solve problems in a team environment. Experience leading improvement efforts in finance preferred
- Working knowledge of GAAP and IFRS with ability to be flexible for sales revenue reporting
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex issues in a simple manner; ability to adapt message and analysis to fit the audience
