Job Summary
Provides courteous service to guests. Serves food and drinks to guests. Accommodates guests’ needs in a courteous and timely manner. Helps to ensure that guest experience and environment is positive.
Specific Functions and Duties
1. Greet guests, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and drinks.
2. Relay orders to service bar and kitchen via the point-of-sale computerized register system.
3. Deliver food and drinks to guests.
4. Interact verbally with all guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere.
5. Observe guests and respond to any additional requests.
6. Present guest check to each table and accept a form of payment.
7. Make correct change and/or complete the proper charge card procedure.
8. Setting, clearing, maintaining and cleaning all tables that you service.
9. Complete a nominal amount of assigned guest readiness duties such as clearing tables and maintaining dining room presentation. If any of the guest readiness duties your job entails takes up more than 15% of your shift, you must inform a manager immediately.
