Job Description
Title: Data Engineer
Status: Full Time, Exempt Position

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for designing and implementing automated data ELT mechanisms, data modeling, data development, and data handling for new data sources
• Responsible for documentation of data resources and ensuring data security and appropriate access to data resources
• Works with the rest of the Data Team to ensure the necessary data and analysis environments are available for the internal users and customer facing products
• Provides recommendations for technology and process changes
• Designs and implements new data engineering tooling and processes
Qualifications:
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship
• Ability to work remotely, collaboratively, efficiently, and effectively
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 3 years of related experience
• Must have a high degree of initiative to implement solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Demonstrated experience writing SQL packages for loading and transforming data sets
• Demonstrated experience in designing, building, and testing ETL data loading jobs
• Demonstrated experience and capability in documenting, tuning, managing, and scheduling large libraries of ETL jobs
• Demonstrated experience in dealing with large datasets from variety of different sources, with varying degrees of data quality and cleanliness
• Demonstrated skills in scripting on Linux or Windows platforms, and experience in performing ETL via such technologies
• Database skills across a range of technologies, including PostgreSQL, and MPP database architectures
• Demonstrated skills in data modeling
• Advanced skills with Linux, Microsoft Windows OS, Office applications
• Must be able to understand business requirements and translate them into technical deliveries
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Experience with Healthcare-related data a plus
