Controls Engineer

Extol, Inc. is looking for an eager, detail-oriented Controls Engineer! The individual in this role will have the opportunity to develop and implement the electrical and controls portions of fully custom equipment in the plastic joining and handling world. Strong candidates will demonstrate the ability to present technical information to internal and external customers from an industry leader’s perspective, follow structured workflows, and manage multiple projects.

The Ideal Candidate

• Develops and implements controls design, electrical design, and project plans.
• Programs and debugs PLCs.
• Collaborates with mechanical design team, machine build team, and service team throughout project timeline.
• Interfaces with customers at machine run off.

What You’ll Bring

• Electrical engineering degree or related science (or equivalent experience)
• PLC programming and debugging required – Allen Bradley and/or Siemens.
• AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN experience preferred.
• Confident, professional communication skills
• Team-oriented – eager and willing to work in a cross-functional capacity.
