Job Role Summary
As a Valuation Analyst at ExxonMobil, you will provide general systems and process support to the Risk Control Operations team. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with the valuation of trading positions for stewardship and accounting purposes. Secondary responsibilities may include supporting the risk analytics and reporting team in helping with risk management of trading activity, as well as acting as a contact for ad-hoc initiatives / projects.
Job Responsibilities
In this position you will:
Work closely with the Valuation team, Controller’s, and other Risk Control teams to ensure the daily position valuation and monthly mark-to-market accounting processes run smoothly- Understand and maintain data in key systems (SAP, TM1, ZEMA)
- Administer internal / external controls for derivatives valuation and financial reporting
- Support projects and process / controls initiatives as they arise
Minimum Requirements & Preferred Skills, Abilities and Knowledge
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, math, statistics, economics, finance, or supply chain
Required Qualifications:
- 2-5 Years of relevant work experience
- Strong analytical skills and basic knowledge of key systems (e.g. SAP)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills including an ability to work with diverse group of individuals and the ability to collaborate effectively with multi-national and cross-functional teams
- Interest in trading, business strategy, and supply chain optimization
- Willingness to enthusiastically support and prioritize requests from multiple work teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with ExxonMobil Trading organization
- Experience with or knowledge of financial derivatives, risk evaluation and management techniques
- Strongly preferable to be familiar with trade capture and nomination / scheduling systems; must be proficient in Excel
