The Senior Process Designer provides design support of the
Process Systems to produce construction documents for the
following systems: high purity gases and chemicals, upstream
and downstream biologics processing, small
molecule synthesis, fill/finish, high purity water, waste
treatment, and clean and support utilities, controls, and the
like.
- Develops Process Systems construction documents using architectural background layouts and system performance requirements defined by the project team including the architect, engineer and project manager
- Participates in pre-design project activities, such as site assessment, site plan review, and verification of as built conditions
- Works with project team to find optimum system sizing, routing, materials, and space management for ductwork and piping systems
- Performs equipment selection research and develop recommendations
- Participates in Services during Construction, including responding to RFIs, shop drawing and submittal review, site observation, preparation of field-issued sketches, participation in construction meetings, and preparation of preliminary and final punch lists, and as-built drawings
- Executes work within approved budgets, develop progress reports, and interface with clients and others
- Coordinates with the designs of other trades (architectural and engineering/ internal and external)
- Develops projects in compliance with engineering codes, standards, principles, relevant specifications and contractual requirements
- Produces construction documents under the supervision of a Professional Engineer and coordinate with other disciplines
- Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables
- Mentor interns and junior members of project teams
- Supports business development activities, including preparation of materials for qualifications, proposals, and interviews
- Develops construction drawings, details, schedules and diagrams for process systems
- Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others
- Performs calculations pipe stress analysis and pipe flow
- Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts
- Other duties as assigned
- Good time management skills, strong work ethic and attention to details
- Proficient in the use of Autodesk Building Systems Software
- Individual must possess strong communication and organizational skills
- Strong team player with an ability to build effective working relationships
- Energetic and self-motivated
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associates degree with technical focus preferred
- 8 years of experience
- Advanced Technology experience preferred
- Autodesk Building Systems Software
- Experience working within a team environment
- Experience in the quality control review process
- Experience contributing to continuous improvement processes.
