Discover your exciting role- The Technology Systems Designer II participates in a team environment consisting of engineers and designers to produce construction documents for the following systems: Instrumentation and Controls, Telecommunications, Fire Alarm, and Security.
- Assists in developing technology systems construction documents using architectural background layouts and system performance requirements defined by the project team including the architect, engineer and project manager
- Assists senior staff with services during construction, including responding to RFIs, shop drawing and submittal review, and as-built drawings
- Assists in pre-design project activities, such as site assessment, site plan review, and verification of as built conditions
- Assists in developing projects in compliance with engineering codes, standards, principles, relevant specifications and contractual requirements
- Assists project team to find optimum system solutions, routing, materials, and space management for equipment and various cable distribution systems
- Assists in the production of construction documents under the supervision of a Professional Engineer and coordinate with other disciplines
- Assists in development of construction drawings, specifications, details, schedules and diagrams for electrical and lighting systems
- Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables
- Mentor interns and junior members of project teams
- Other related design services include coordination with the designs of other trades (architectural and engineering/ internal and external)
- Assists in performing quality control reviews of work developed by others
- Other duties as assigned
- 3 Years of experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate's degree with technical focus preferred
- Prior experience in Advanced Technology
- Autodesk Building Systems Software
- Experience working within a team environment
- Experience in the quality control review process.
- Experience contributing to continuous improvement processes
