The opportunity
You will play a key role in supporting a new team set to define the way private equity and PE Fund of Fund General Partners (GPs) meet their fund controllership, investment books and records, regulatory, tax, and financial statement reporting requirements. Top-tier GPs and investment managers are increasingly looking to EY to provide operational services for critical functions, in parallel with their current custodians. You will play a key role in leading a team responsible for coordinating and defining how EY manages its engagements with top-tier GPs from a commercial, contract and financial perspective including: supporting commercial discipline and managing contract compliance; managing service economics and financial reporting to internal and client stakeholders; overseeing scope changes and implications on invoiced fees and managing scheduled governance meetings with client executives. Join our team in building a new service and identifying innovative ways for GPs to manage books and records, as well as timely fund financial statements.
Your key responsibilities
- Review and analyze complex contractual obligations, dependencies and key metrics which track operational service progress, cost flow/invoicing, and project costs/budgets among other metrics
- Support management of multi-million-dollar budget, planning, revenue projects and coordinate invoicing of a client-facing fund controllership service
- Advise business leaders on the insights derived from key performance indicators and proactively highlight areas of concern
- Ensure stakeholders are kept informed about progress, escalating issues/risks, and expected outcomes
- Prepare and present analysis, insights, and recommendations to assist governance forums with decision making
- Manage senior analysts to drive execution and provide high-quality work within expected timeframes and budget
- Review your team's work products (financial analysis, enhancement specifications, governance documents, issue, and enhancement trackers) and provide necessary coaching for improvement
- Bring an innovative mindset and experience to evolve the service model across 6 global locations
- Build and foster high performing teaming, inspiring through team vision and career advancement opportunities
- Draft, review and advise on contract changes, such as change orders, amendments, and statements of work
- Demonstrate a mastery of working on multiple high priority projects simultaneously.

To qualify for the role, you must have:
- A bachelor's degree in business, accounting, economics, finance, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of work experience related to commercial/contract management, strategic planning and execution, project governance and reporting, and/or service economics
- Budget management and forecasting experience
- Experience in change management and/or workforce planning
- Experience managing large teams and the ability leverage the team's talents in solving problems
- Strong proven communication skills demonstrated through effective writing and presentations to clients and internal stakeholders; based on critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- An interest in working in an environment which encourages continuous learning, development, and identification of opportunities for improvement of individual and team performance
- A willingness to work in an office when production activities require but will have the flexibility to work remotely
- A willingness to travel for client needs
Ideally, you'll also have
- MBA
- Experience with software tools including document management systems, workflow tools, financial models in MS Excel
- Experience with managed services, outsourcing and/or management of long-term commercial contracts is a plus.

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $65,700 to $150,000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $78,800 to $170,500. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
