The Sales Engineer will be part of the EY Nexus sales team working across Wealth & Asset Management solutions. The Sales Engineer is responsible for shaping the overall Solution Architecture of the deal and will play a key role in the client pursuit. This is an individual who has a contemporary technology background (architecture, engineering, etc.) with deep technical understanding of the Nexus components and how they will be used in each deal. This individual should have strong client-facing skills and technology sales experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Partner with the Product Sales Architect to understand client scope, requirements, and shape the technical solution architecture
- Possess a strong understanding of the "menu" of Nexus capabilities and understand how to assemble them for each deal
- Provide input on sizing and estimation models to arrive at pricing for each opportunity, in close collaboration with Sales Architect
- Understand the end-to-end delivery, including client technology constraints, challenges, and risks associated with integrations and deployment
- Work with client technology teams to understand their technology landscape to frame conceptual architecture, define high-level technology stack, and any assumptions
- Support in drafting statements of work to include technology design and delivery activities
- Provide technical demos of Nexus components and walkthrough of architecture
- Provide knowledge transfer to the delivery teams to ensure a smooth handover from sales to delivery, ensuring that projects are properly staffed
- Collaborate closely with the Nexus product team to identify gaps in client solutions and determine what is added to backlog
- Provide input on market trends and client needs to the Nexus leadership team to help inform strategy and roadmap, and ensure continuous evolution of Nexus
- Showcase Nexus capabilities and articulate success stories at industry conferences and events
Skills and attributes for success:
- Strong understanding of the Wealth & Asset Management sector, including key business domains
- Understanding of contemporary technology principles and patterns, including:
- Event streaming / stream-based processing
- Reactive microservices design
- Containerization
- Cloud infrastructure and architecture
- Appreciation for the business architecture and ability to map product requirements to show a logical flow of technology components
- Understanding of Product Development Lifecycle
- Flexibility and willingness to collaborate with other EY sector teams outside of Wealth & Asset Management
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- BS/BA required
- 7-10 years of product or business operations experience
- Exceptional relationship management abilities to work effectively with clients, vendors, account and product teams
- Ability to explain technical information in a manner that is clearly understood by non-technical clients
- Experience defining solution architectures based on building blocks of existing components to maximize reuse and agility
- Experience implementing on-prem solutions/packaged software
- Experience with modern DevSecOps, including continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) methods and tools
- A high energy level, sense of urgency, decisiveness, and an ability to work well under pressure
- Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change
- Strong influencing skills and a teaming mentality
- Willingness to travel

The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $163,400 to $373,300. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $196,100 to $424,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you'll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
