Medical Receptionist Optometric Technician - Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients at the front desk as they arrive at the office
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update necessary information
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors

- Perform testing and gather health history on patients as an optometric technician prior to seeing the Optometrist

Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a medical receptionist, patient service representative or office assistant is preferred
- Familiarity with phone systems and handling multiple phone lines
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using computer software for scheduling, record keeping, and other administrative tasks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
