Our skilled doctors and friendly staff are dedicated to providing the highest quality care using the most sophisticated technology available and are dedicated to helping every patient enjoy the best possible vision.  Shasta Eye Medical Group is a four-physician ophthalmic practice with optical dispensary and affiliated Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). This unique and diverse group of doctors provides the most comprehensive vision care in California’s north state region.Our services cover a range of eye problems, including cataracts, glaucoma, retinal disorders, dry eye, and ocular injuries. We have the common goal of ascertaining the most appropriate care for any given patient, explaining the purpose of the treatment, and in initiating said therapy in a courteous and compassionate manner, irrespective of age, gender, nationality, and race or payment program.

Responsibilities

• List all proper diagnoses and symptoms as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician
• Document procedures performed by the physician
• Serve as liaison between the physician, patient and staff
• Provide unparalleled customer service to our patients
• Adhere to established protocols and work processes
• Successfully manage volume without compromising quality
• Enter timely, as dictated by physician, accurate and detailed documentation of the encounter
• Knowledge of medical, medication and ophthalmic terminology
• Completion of pre-operative paperwork

Qualifications

   • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills   • Strong attention to detail   • Advanced computer skills   • Knowledge of medication terminology and CPT and ICD-10 coding   • Must exhibit passion for outstanding results and compassion for those we work with and serve   • Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times   • Be a team player and maintain a professional attitude with typical job stress and have a flexible and adaptable nature to work         in a continuously evolving and fast paced work environment
