Overview

Our cryptocurrency mining locations are growing, off-grid and on-grid. If you enjoy solving problems, applying mechanical ability, thinking creatively, and learning new things in an exciting, challenging, fast-paced, and rewarding environment, we have a position for you. We are looking to fill out the position of Commissioning Lead to join our team. We are looking for highly motivated individuals with knowledge and previous experience leading teams primarily in the areas of fabrication, manufacturing, construction, plumbing, HVAC, electrical/mechanical systems.

With more than 50MW across the US, our service/deployment team lead is a pivotal part of our operations. Working out of our warehouse in La Porte, IN our lead will help oversee our team of technicians that maintain, troubleshoot, and repair data centers, motors, impellers, variable fan drives and electrical systems across our various facilities.

As a Commissioning Lead with EZ Blockchain, you will be leading a team that diagnoses equipment issues and determines what is needed to get the equipment running again. By providing quality communication and craftsmanship to our customers and our site technicians, our Commissioning Leads are a true asset to our Company. Our work revolves around commissioning new sites, maintaining existing sites and supporting customers who buy our Data Centers. 

A Day in the Life
- The role of Lead requires that you be able to properly explain and show how each deployment/maintenance task is performed, accordingly we expect that you spend some time doing the actual work to know how to explain it to others, make manuals and documentation and be able to diagnose issues at other sites. Thus, your time will be split between organizing the day’s work, prioritizing tasks, assigning work, making sure that the necessary tools and equipment are available for the guys doing the work, or picking up supplies or airport runs.

- Create and maintain records of all service activities and business reporting documentation.

- Ensure cleanliness and organization of all EZ Blockchain Company property. This includes the company vehicle, tools, parts, inventory, and equipment.
- Monitor our existing Operations sites so that our team can provide Operations Team with repairs or the products and resources that they need shipped out to them.

- Have experience in communicating with outside vendors and tradesmen, explaining needs, estimate costs, send jobs out for bid and supervise the tasks while on the job.

- Has experience keeping a project on time and under budget & staying within appropriate Safety Parameters.
- Collaborate with internal partners such as sales, customer service, operations, network engineering, and other data center technicians to support our mutual success, as well as represent the company to our clients,

Role and Responsibilities

- Must have previous experience leading teams.

- The ability to execute the plans that have been set forth by operations and commissioning departments.

- Have a good understanding of what vendors are needed for certain tasks, and make sure that they have all pertinent information to do their duties.

- Have a good understanding of how systems are interconnected and how to perform root cause analysis.

- The ability to follow instructions and to ask questions when necessary.

- Be able to keep track of employee’s time and document their work.

- Have previous experience dealing with disciplinary issues and know how to enforce and document them.

- The ability to diagnose problems and recommend alternative solutions.

- Enter and update employees work tasks and inventory logs.

- A basic understanding of how to repair damaged or faulty equipment and devices

- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work a variable schedule as necessary, as lead you will be the first one in and the last one out.

You have the willingness, and ability to travel ~50% of the time.

Required Experience and Education

- You are authorized to work in US.

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Valid driver's license & meet EZ Blockchains driving policy requirements.
- Know the proper way to use hand and power shop tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices.
- Using a personal computer, MS Office Suite, and email.
- Previous experience in fabrication, manufacturing, construction, plumbing, HVAC, electrical/mechanical systems.

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds, with most items weighing between 2 and 20 pounds. Occasionally may be required to lift items weighing up to 90 pounds. Assistance should be provided for items weighing over 60 pounds.
- Frequent sitting, standing, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling, bending, stooping, kneeling, ladder work or squatting daily.

-Driving a truck and trailer to and from our sites, including some driving time of 10 hours.

- Other Physical tasks as needed.

Further Responsibilities & Expectations

- Although most of the work you will oversee is conducted outdoors throughout the year and in various weather conditions, your role may also involve meetings with C-suite executives, clients, and various tradespeople. Therefore, maintaining appropriateness and discretion is essential.
- Know, validate & enforce company Process and Procedures and ensure they are always followed.

- Inspects assembled equipment to ensure proper installation.

- Will be working near Medium to High Voltage lines and equipment must enforce all OSHA requirements & ensure a high level of safety is always maintained by all personnel.

- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with Health, Safety & Environmental regulations.

- Have a good understanding of all paperwork related to testing, insulation resistance, continuity, and polarity for accuracy and completeness.

- Maintain the online commissioning database and ensure distribution schedules are up to date.

- We are looking for individuals that are interested in learning the application of these things to data centers, computers, servers, switches, and crypto miners. Ideally someone wanting to learn.

- Although we work a traditional schedule, please keep in mind that we are in fast moving industry, and you may be asked to travel at a moment’s notice for extended periods of time and often on weekends.

- Additionally, we are looking for a safety minded individual that can anticipate safety issues and has experience in first aid and conducting safety meetings.

Salary : $90 - $92
