Budtenders help to assist customers in selecting suitable cannabis products. The responsibilities of the Budtender include greeting and welcoming customers, informing the manager of customer complaints and operational issues, and addressing customer inquiries. You should also be able to answer customers’ questions regarding the different strains of cannabis, their medicinal uses, and methods of consumption.
Budtenders will need to provide great customer service along with excellent communication by ensuring that customers are well-informed and satisfied with their purchases.
You would be responsible for assisting the management team with the activities and operations of the store while abiding by all policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- Guide and direct customers in their cannabis purchasing journey
- Answer customer questions and concerns
- Adhere to strict distribution processes and maintain a professional and safe environment for customers and co-workers
- Gather and process required documents and information
- Meet and exceed sales goals
- Assist with opening/closing of store and other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Experience in retail sales preferred
- Knowledge of marijuana strains, (indicas, sativas, hybrids), edibles, extracts, and current products on the market preferred
- Dispensary-related experience preferred
- Must be friendly, outgoing, trustworthy, dependable, and hardworking
- Must be able to provide exemplary customer service
- High school diploma or GED required
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills
- Minimum twenty-one (21) years of age
- Must have no felony convictions
- Must possess a valid driver’s license or government Identification (ID)
- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must possess current state cannabis worker license or permit (if applicable)
