Meta is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Global Data Center Connectivity (GDCC) team. Our data centers are the foundation upon which our innovative services are delivered, and our rapidly scaling infrastructure operates. The GDCC team lights up Meta’s global data centers, using industry leading fiber optic cabling, outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP) to deliver the physical infrastructure that connects the world to our services, videos, feeds, and other information stored on Meta’s global network. This position is responsible to project manage teams through planning, construction, and operations for the telecommunications and structured cabling and physical network infrastructure within our data centers and is fundamental to ensuring the high availability of Meta’s online services.The Global Data Center Connectivity (GDCC) Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of all the various network infrastructure and cabling projects at Meta’s data center campus. You will be leading projects and operations together with talented field engineers and installation partners through pre-construction planning, construction, operation, and network servicing, decommissioning and retrofit phase activities. The role is highly collaborative and requires creating and maintaining strong team and stakeholder relationships. The Project Manager is a key interface to the Program Management teams and works with other Data Center teams globally. This position is on-site full-time. Some travel required

- Project Planning & Control - Create, maintain, and report on site project scope, schedules, and milestones. Collaborates with our contractors, partner teams and Program Management team throughout the project lifecycle, from the creation of project and program plans through project close out
- Mission Critical Service Delivery - Ensure on site delivery and maintenance of all structured cabling and connectivity, on time, within budget, and to corporate standards of quality, reliability, and uptime. Leads progress meetings with project teams, contractors, and relevant stakeholders. Identify and manage risks, schedule, budget. Ensure execution progresses per plan with support from Field engineers. Track and manage project change orders
- Learnings - Continually review ongoing projects for efficiencies in schedule, budget, and opportunities, then document them during the entire project lifecycle. Support development of project management best practices and initiatives, communicate and coordinate lessons learned with contractors, partner teams and Program Management
- Financial management - Manage financial forecasting and budgets with leadership and work with project controls as required. Manage, document and review project change
- Technical Reviews - Manages design and bill of material reviews with relevant engineers, partners, and cross-functional teams
- Contract management - Assist with the selection of contractors to support the GDCC work within the data center
- Materials - Plan and manage procurement of Owner furnished materials for site projects and operations working with supply chain and Engineers towards project milestones
- Metrics - Report progress and risks on site projects and other initiatives to key stakeholders. Manage data metrics, such as forecast, schedule, quality, and safety performance
- Risk Management - Document and respond to project risks and high-priority issues rapidly and effectively through effective action and appropriate escalation
- 5 years professional experience in project or construction management
- Documented experience in oversight of, schedule and budgets for complex projects
- Detail oriented, experience providing solutions to complex problems
- Experience making key business decisions in collaboration with the site team
- Experience in material management, Bill of Materials review, and material tracking
- Experience overseeing contractor teams work and suppliers towards the same project goals
- Experience in collaborating across multi-disciplines and partner teams for delivering a common goal
- Leadership skills and experience managing people in relation to projects and operations goals
- Communications skills
- Proficiency with MS package (MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Negotiation experience and experience supporting setup and manage contracts for projects and operations
- Experience in Network/Structure cabling or Electrical infrastructure systems or equivalent
- Experience reporting and financial management skills tracking site level project updates, progress, variances, and forecasts rapidly and effectively through effective action and appropriate escalation
- Experience in a mission critical environment requiring coordination across multi-disciplines for delivering a common goal
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent
- 5 years management and/or lead experience
- 5 years financial management experience
- 5 years program/project management experience (PMP ideal)
- 5 years materials/procurement experience
- Experience with Primavera P6, Unifier
- PMP or similar project management related certification
- ISP (Inside Plant) OSP (Outside Plant) structure cabling experience
- Experience in hyperscale data center
