The Opportunity:
Factorial Energy is seeking a Tooling Engineer to join our team in our South Korea location.
In this role, you will:
- Responsible for the development and on-site debugging of equipment fixtures and jigs.
- During new product transitions, responsible for evaluating the requirements for replacing equipment fixtures and jigs. Depending on the specific situation, collaborate with equipment suppliers to replace fixtures and jigs or design them independently.
- Responsible for improving on-site production equipment fixtures and jigs issues and structural optimization, conducting reliability analysis and validation of fixtures and jigs.
- Responsible for independent design of fixtures and jigs, including 3D design, 2D drawings, BOM generation, monitoring of machining processes, assembly, and debugging.
- Define and categorize design standards and design documentation for fixtures.
- Establish processes for fixture development, management, and retirement.
- Write patents related to fixtures, jigs, and production equipment.
We are looking for people who:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Design, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- More than 3 years of experience in the lithium battery industry, with over 5 years of experience in designing automation equipment or fixtures and jigs.
- Ability to independently develop projects, familiar with mechanical design, machining, and heat treatment processes, and rich experience in selecting servo motors, cylinders, and sensors.
- Proficient in 3D and 2D design software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Familiar with engineering drawings and BOM creation, skilled in assembly and pneumatic circuit diagram design.
- Diligent and responsible in work, with English as the working language, possessing English reading, writing, and communication abilities.
