Job Overview
In this key role, the doorperson is responsible for hotel entrance doors, providing a positive first and last impression to guests as they arrive and leave the hotel. The doorman must provide accurate information of facilities, directions, safety procedures and all other processes pertinent to the guests and visitors. In the absence of a porter, the doorman offers information about check-in and check-out, escort guests to the front desk, provides welcome drink or bottle of water, transports the guest’s luggage to and from their unit, open and close car doors upon arrival and departure.

Duties And Responsabilities
- Attend daily pre-shift meetings.
- Sign out the radio and ensure the earpiece is working properly.
- Greet and escort guests to the reception desk in the absence of a Porter.
- Open doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving property.
- Inform guests/visitors of property amenities, services, and hours of operation, and local areas of interest and activities.
- Identify and explain hotel features to guests/residents (e.g., valet process and parking rules.)
- Assist guests in and out of vehicles, including assisting them with loading/unloading luggage.
- Assist guests in locating and/or transporting packages.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
- Lay out safety signage in public areas and Porte cochere during extreme weather as well as laying out mats inside the Cathedral and providing umbrellas on the front drive.
- Maintain awareness of undesirable persons on property premises.
- Inform 3 rd party vendors and delivery drivers that they are to enter through security.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Speak to staff and guests using clear and professional language.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
- Comply with Faena Miami Beach Forbes standards and procedures.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Management.
- Maintains a clean work area, this includes, but not limited to, seating areas, front doors etc.
