What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Clerk position at FAF Inc?

As our Logistics Clerk, you will be supported by the Import Manager. You will be responsible for importing logistics coordination, production planning, tracking inventory and shipment status, ensuring quality standards are met by our factories overseas.

Your primary responsibilities will be:

Communicate with the freight forwarders to track status of shipments from overseas

Maintain all logistics shipping document updated (such as CI, PL, Fish & Wild Life and FDA info)

Communicate with customs to identify the tariff information and maintain the table information updated.

Communicate with the company's China office and foreign vendors to make sure that production order shipping on time

Communicate the expectations of the our company standards to vendors

Monitor incoming shipments daily and file the shipping documentations neccessary

Update shipping status in internally

Communicate with Fed Ex, UPS and other friegh forwarders regulalry

Complete and renew registrations for FDA, Fish & Wild life etc.

Maintain updated the freight charts and reconcile freight invoices

Work closely with our vendor base / China QC Team to trouble shoot quality related concerns, communication breakdowns and testing failures

The skills, knowldge and abilities which will help you succeed:

AS Business Administration or Supply Chain OR 1-3 years’ experience or combination of both in related industry, including purchasing, logistics, freight, or transportation

Ability to communicate effectively with foreign vendors via email

Ability to communicate effectively internally with a high volume of email, zoom and phone calls

Ability to identify, communicate and resolve issues and potential risks

Ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature

Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction

Ability to occasionally work extra hours to meet presentation deadlines

Knowledge of AX (Microsoft Dynamics), Stock IQ, MS platform with proficiency in Excel

Salary : $32,600 - $41,300
