Summary

This position serves in the capacity of providing support and assistance to the department and staff.

Job Duties

  • Monitors and fills coffee/tea areas.
  • Completes Pre-Screening Forms as needed
  • Refers consumers to the appropriate case manager, as needed
  • Monitors lunch attendance for the Title VI Program
  • Assists consumers in finding appropriate resources, as needed.
  • Monitors grant-required paperwork/follow up
  • Monitors daily consumer sign-in sheets and submits them to the department’s data specialist at the end of each workday.
  • Acknowledges donations with the appropriate FNA Receipt of Donation form.
  • Keep office areas organized and clean
  • Inventory socks, gloves, hygiene products, and other personal supplies weekly.
  • Inventory all the supplies and inform the Administrative Assistant of program needs.
  • Facilitates the logistics related to picking up or delivering extra donations to or from other intra-organizational departments.
  • Responds to inquiries and phone calls in a timely manner.
  • Attend daily Community Service Staff meetings.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work independently as well as with teams.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience)

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current CPR/First Aide or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience)

  • Experience working with diverse groups of people, including Elders and the homeless.
  • Experience/knowledge of thrift store environment preferred.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Physical demands will vary with the tasks assigned. Overall demands should be consistent with medium work requirements, requiring exertion of weight up to 25 pounds. The work requires routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying of items; assisting a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities, and abilities. The office is a non-smoking facility with outside smoking areas. Requires working outside, and may involve local travel between various program components of FNA and the community, involving exposure to extreme weather conditions; may require working with chemical cleaners and solvents. Works in an environment where protection of consumer confidentiality is essential. Personal Protective Equipment will be provided where/when needed.

SPECIFICATIONS

Supervision Received

The position receives direct supervision from the immediate supervisor; however, the incumbent is expected to effectively perform day-to-day activity as denoted within the job description. Work will be monitored through weekly meetings, monthly reports, and regular communication with your supervisor. General guidelines for operations are based on program requirements and the general policies and procedures of FNA.
